Consultation Fleckney Neighbourhood Plan
Fleckney Neighbourhood Plan
Neighbourhood plans come out of the Government’s determination to ensure that local communities are closely involved in planning decisions which affect them.
The Fleckney Neighbourhood Plan is being developed to establish a vision for the Village and to help deliver the local community’s aspirations and needs for the plan period 2017 – 2031. The Neighbourhood Plan when made will be a statutory document that will be incorporated into the district’s planning framework and must be used by Harborough District Council to determine planning applications.
The Pre-submission Draft Fleckney Neighbourhood Plan has been produced by the Parish Council, with the support of local residents, using the views of the residents of Fleckney. The Steering Committee has consulted and listened to the community and local organisations on a wide range of issues that will influence the well-being, sustainability and long-term preservation of the rural community.
Every effort has been made to ensure that the views and policies contained in the Plan reflect those of the majority of Fleckney residents.
The Draft Pre-submission Plan is now available for comment during a statutory six week consultation period which will run from 4th June to 16th July 2018.
Views and comments on this Pre-submission Plan are important and will be taken into account and the Plan amended if felt necessary so do take the opportunity during the consultation period to let us know what you think about the Plan.
An electronic copy of the Plan can be found online at www.fleckneynp.org.uk together with guidance on how to make comments during the consultation period.
